RAM (Random access memory)
RAM stands for Random access memory, Mobile RAM may be 2GB, 4GB, 6GB or even 8GB. it is a place, where you open any application or file in your mobile phone. It is like a box where you open your mobile application, so bigger size box can contain more application and smaller box contains only limited applications.
Whenever we buy Mobile phone we see 2GB (Giga Bytes), 4GB, 6 GB RAM or may be more. Price is also increased if you buy a phone with more GB.
So as you can see an example above more GB of RAM more application you can open at one time. You may find that it will start to slow down when you have opened and used lots of different applications at the same time.
RAM is volatile memory that means when you switched off your phones all files or application closed automatically and again you need to open application. It is also called temporary storage or temporary memory.
If you want to store or save any file, Picture, Video or any other type of Data permanently then you have another type of storage called Hard Disk, Hard drive, Flash memory or any external memory. Devices with more RAM can run more complex software and multiple applications at the same time.
Price is another factor when you are buying a higher version of Mobile phone. If you buy a phone of 4 GB RAM with same configuration as 6GB RAM Mobile phone, of course 6GB would be in high price.
